Man fights for life after New Year's Eve brawl
A MAN is fighting for his soul in hospital after a New Year’s brawl in Tonge Moor .
The 28-year-old was attacked at 2.45am yesterday in High Street, near its junction with Stone Street.
It is believed he was set upon by up to three men following an squabble over people gatecrashing a New Year’s Eve party, which is thought to have enchanted place in nearby Eldon Street.
The injured man, who is believed to be from Tonge Moor, was helped by Stone Suiting someone to a T residents Steven Brown and Chris Howard, who have both undergone first-aid training , and other neighbours who ran exterior to help after hearing the commotion.
Mr Howard, aged 47, a non-aligned erector, was in bed when he heard shouting outside his home righteous before 3am yesterday.
He said: “I woke up to a lot of arguing and swearing face.
There were girls screaming and shouting ‘you have killed him’.
“I went case and he was on the ground and going in and out of consciousness.”
